Despina Hadjidemetri Kara joined our firm in 2014 and is a Partner, as well as the Head of Operations. As the leader of our Litigation Department, Despina brings specialized expertise in Family, Administrative, and Banking Law, alongside her in-depth knowledge in areas such as Insolvency, Bankruptcy, and Contract Law. Her legal acumen has been instrumental in handling complex cases across these domains.

In addition to her legal practice, Despina has been a lecturer at the School of Law at the University of Nicosia since 2012, sharing her expertise with the next generation of legal professionals. She is also the author of the highly regarded book Introduction to Cyprus’ Civil Procedure Laws, published by Hippassus Legal Publications in 2019.

Despina holds a law degree from the Democritus University of Thrace and an LLM from the University of Bristol. She is a registered member of both the Cyprus Bar Association and the Famagusta Bar Association, where she previously served as a member. Despina is fluent in both Greek and English.
